I took my dr seat out to replace it so that I had more room. You have to bend one metal line towards the opening (you'll know what I mean when you see it) in order to undo the clamp and slip the new hose on. I think it'd be best to use weld-on AN fittings or a Swedgelok type of compression AN fitting instead - that's what I plan to do if/when I replace the fuel pump for E85. Obviously remove the FP from the housing and remove all residual gas fumes from the metal lines first if you choose to go the welding route. I used Gates Barricade hose on mine, fit is slightly tighter than OEM which is confidence inspiring. Seems like a very good choice to me, considering it's much cheaper than OEM too.
